Urabandai Lake Resort Goshiki no Mori

This is a great hotel with great facilities! I have stayed here before and would stay here again. Large rooms and a lovely onsen.

1. Best location in the area, the hotel is by the lake, right next to the trail to the famous colorful pond. very close to the entrance of the ski area and hiking road. 2. The room is huge and comfortable, the perfect place for a family trip. 3. The resort basically has everything you need. 4. The staff are very friendly and professional.

Excellent location. Visited on 6-7 Nov. Autumn colours were brillant. Happy to get a room with great colours facing the lake. Onsen was good especially the outdoor pool facing the lake. Room was big and bed comfy.

We were positively surprised that the breaksfast/dinner differed slightly from day 1 to day 2. That usually isn't the case in these hotels. Also, the food was delicious. (Except for the coffee which tasted just okay at best. But that did not ruin the overall experience.)

Beautiful location! The resort has a “grand” feeling about it! The beds were very comfortable. The room had a lovely view of the lake. The staff were courteous and attentive. All you can eat dinner and breakfast with a LOT of variety. Coffee shop and gift shop available. Lovely inside and outside onsen baths.
